The South American Phonological Inventory Database (SAPhon)

The South American Phonological Inventory Database (SAPhon) is now available online in English (http://linguistics.berkeley.edu/~saphon/en/), Portuguese, and Spanish. The site is intended to be a shared public resource that provides information on the phonological inventories of South American languages.

The site provides three search functions to help users locate information: a map search, a sortable name table, and a phoneme search function. For general information about the site, please visit this page (http://linguistics.berkeley.edu/~saphon/en/about.php); for information about the methodology employed in developing the database, please visit this page (http://linguistics.berkeley.edu/~saphon/en/methodology.php).
